The Horse & Oak™ Inside-the-Waistband Holster was engineered around three design principles.

1. Inward-Folding Loop Architecture

Instead of folding over itself like a traditional IWB belt loop, the loop folds beneath itself. The result is a permanently stitched, hardware-free attachment with uninterrupted leather geometry.

2. Mechanical Advantage

Under belt tension and the weight of a holstered pistol, the inward-folding loop naturally draws the holster closer to the body. By reducing outward leverage at the belt interface, the design promotes a stable, close-to-body fit with minimal printing.

3. Crafted Permanence

The entire reinforcement is built from horsehide. There are no clips, snaps, or screws. The loop is hand-skived, folded, and permanently hand-stitched into the holster body, creating an exceptionally low-profile design while preserving the flowing lines of traditional American leatherwork.
